Life in Frames: Saturdays Chapter 2

A Saturday journey through Imperial Restaurant and Old Port Montreal on October 18, 2025. Captured straight out of camera with the Fujifilm X20, this entry in my Life in Frames series reflects on food, light, and everyday moments turned into stories.

Every Saturday, I try to capture life as it happens — no big plans, just following where the day leads. On October 18, 2025, that journey began at Imperial Restaurant, where the warmth of shared food set the tone for what was to come. Meals have a way of grounding the day, and here, it was about enjoying the richness of flavor before heading back into the city streets.

From there, we made our way to the Old Port of Montreal. The air carried a crisp autumn edge, but the scenery was alive with light and sound. The streets hummed with people, conversations, and the occasional music spilling out from the fairgrounds. I walked with my camera, letting the energy of the Old Port guide the frames — colors glowing against the evening, shadows breaking up the light, small moments unfolding everywhere.

This outing is part of my ongoing Life in Frames Saturday Series — a personal project where I document ordinary days and let them tell their own story. Some moments are vibrant and full of motion, others are quiet and fleeting, but together they weave a narrative of what it feels like to simply be present.

Photography, for me, has always been about memory and meaning. These Saturdays remind me that even the simplest routines — a meal, a walk, a fairground — can become a lasting record when seen through a lens.

As this series continues, I look forward to seeing where the next Saturday will take me. Sometimes it’s not about chasing something new, but about rediscovering the familiar with fresh eyes.
